The
3M™
Trizact™ Cloth Belt is part of the CF abrasive family, ideal for soft metals that quickly load other belts in low pressure applications. Use it for intermediate scratch refinement, dimensioning and finishing, and mill line and scale removal. Uniquely engineered aluminum oxide abrasive delivers a consistent finish, sustained cut rate and longer belt life.
Uniform brick-like abrasive structure (Often called “Gator” belts) cuts and finishes consistently from day one to the end of the belt’s life. Brick and channel mineral structure removes swarf and loading. The grinding aid and mineral structure work together to keep work piece cool. Higher, more consistent cut and finish on coarser applications can reduce process steps

Macroreplication
is the science behind the geometric brick-and-channel abrasive structure on this belt. The abrasive bricks contain up to four times as much mineral as comparable products. As the mineral breaks down, fresh mineral is exposed at a uniform rate. Channels between the abrasive bricks reduce heat build-up and remove swarf. It’s low pressure/easy breakdown profile means it resists loading when working with aluminum, zinc, brass and other softer metals. Geometric "bricks" wear evenly throughout service life due to multiple layers of mineral and grinding aid. The result is an abrasive product that cuts and finishes consistently from the beginning to the end of its life - all the way to the backing.
